About our Speakers

Chris Christensen, RMC, CMBSI, CHP
In 1971, Chris Christensen graduated from UCLA with her nursing degree then spent 25 years in the field of trauma and life-flight nursing. As an adjunct to her years in the medical industry, in 2004 Mrs. Christensen received her credentials from the Association of Registered Health Care Professionals (ARHCP) as a Registered Medical Coder (RMC) and a Certified Medical Billing Specialist Instructor (CMBSI). After her certification she began teaching for Medical Association of Billers, a national association for billing instruction. Currently with Christensen & Associates, her billing and consulting service, she travels both nationally and internationally to complete onsite reviews and assist her clients with billing protocols and auditing procedures and compliance.

Mike Stewart
Mike Stewart is the Exercise Facility Supervisor for Decatur Memorial Hospital Wellness Center. He received his Bachelors degree in exercise physiology, with a specialization in cardiac rehabilitation. He has worked for three years in Cardiac Rehab and in adult weight management for four years. He trains a wide variety of athletes for events, competitions and races, is a committee member for The Race for the Cure and one of the organizers for the DMH Wellness 5K Run/Walk.
